Late Lunch @ Tong Seng Coffeeshop

My mum's eye op went smoothly. Alhamdulillah

The afternoon off today was spent with my sis and cousin, Inah.

We went to Tong Seng Coffeeshop to have our late lunch. I have been meaning to go there for the longest time. The last I went there was eons ago.

It was drizzling when we reached there. What's ideal for me would be a bowl of Sliced Fish Soup Noodle. Their soup was the milky version which I liked very much.

Sis had Fishball Noodle Dry .. flat noodle topped with minced meat, fishballs and slices of fiscakes, cilantro and lettuce. It also came with a bowl of clear soup. I had a taste of it and it was good.

Inah had Prawn Noodle - yellow mee topped with fishcakes, blanched prawns, cilantro and lettuce with a bowl of prawn broth. Yum yum .. I will definitely want to eat this one the next time I go there.

We also ordered some sides - Fried Wanton and Siewmai.

That's sis and cousin, tucking in.

And that's the ever so smiley me.

I then made them walk with me to Raffles Shopping Centre to shop, then made them walk again to Shaw Tower to have ice cream at Tom's Palette, another ice cream place which was on my list of ice cream parlours to try.

The counter lady was so nice. She let me try almost all the flavours.

My cousin and I settled for the same flavours - Salted Caramel Cheescake and Chocolate. Salted caramel cheescake was for me so darn good .. it was something different at least for me coz it was my first time eating salted ice cream. I think I am game enough to try more exotic flavours, which perhaps has flowers or even chillis in them. Can I find any of those here?

Sis had Horlicks and Chocolate.

Actually I wanted to try their Granny's Favourite - Granny's Cookie Dough but they ran out of it. What a shame!

After ice cream, we walked back to Bugis Junction to shop for some Ts and then we sat at MacDonald's, used the lappy, discussed and chatted over a Nugget Meal which we shared.

We left Bugis and went straight home feeling all stuffed with the noodles, ice cream, nuggets, fries and drinks.
